Four Microwave Friendly Utensils
It can't be helped that when people cook food or order something to go, they just can't finish it all. When they can't finish their food, they usually wrap them up in aluminum foils, place them in zip locks or store them in plastic containers. They do this so that whenever they get the urge to have the same food, all they have to do is open their refrigerator and take out the food.
But eating cold food isn't something anyone would enjoy. People used to place their refrigerated food on a stove and cook them again. But these days, people put them inside a microwave.
Microwaves really help heat your food up. It's a whole lot quicker than cooking them all over again. But you can't just use any kind of container to heat your food inside a microwave. You have to have the right kind of cookware and that means that your cookware should be microwavable. With microwavable cookware, you're sure to get a hot meal. Here are some microwavable cookware that you would consider getting.
1. Microwavable plates - It's just the same as any ordinary plate. These come in big and small sizes which are used for different quantities of food. But that's where the similarities end.
Microwavable plates are made out of safe plastics that won't melt when you turn the heat up. Normal plates, may these be plastic, ceramic or glass, would crack, shatter or melt when placed in a microwave. That means that if you have any leftovers in your refrigerator that you plan on eating again, using a microwavable plate for heating in a microwave would be your best shot.
2. Microwavable bowls- This cooking wonder is something you can't do without. Why? Well there are times that you might want to have some soup and you just remembered that it's in your refrigerator. You take it out and it's just like a soup popsicle that's as hard as your table.
With a microwavable bowl, you can just place your stone-like soup in it and heat it in the microwave. After you heat it up for a time, you'll be enjoying a hot bowl of soup. Other than having soup, you can place other liquefied foods as well.
3. Microwavable plastic containers- These basically save you all the trouble of opening your cabinets or transferring food to plates or bowls. This plastic container holds leftovers and is placed in the refrigerator. When you feel like having last night's dinner, all you have to do is take it out of the refrigerator, put it in the microwave, set the timer, press start, and you have yourself a hot meal.
4. Microwavable mugs- Here is something that comes in handy. These microwavable mugs are usually used for, well, hot drinks. These are ideal for people who have their coffee and don't drink it all right then and there. When it becomes cold, all you have to do is put it in the microwave and it'll come out as if it was just freshly brewed.
These are just some essential microwavable items that you would need to reheat your refrigerated food.
